State Asset Building Initiatives

State officials from across the country are devising innovative ways to enable low-income families to build wealth by saving and investing. These are called State Asset Building Initiatives. Each initiative is unique to the community it serves. Yet, they all share similar ways of modifying existing government subsidies for savings and investments so that they work for working class families. This website provides an overview of these Initiatives and includes supporting organizations and models of State Asset Building Initiatives across the United States.
