Reentry: Helping Former Prisoners Return to Communities

Is our criminal justice system truly just if a majority of the incarcerated are from disadvantaged families and come from disinvested communities? More importantly, how do we support the formerly incarcerated for reentry into social life? This report addresses the issues that follow prisoner reentry and outlines solutions to ease this process. Some of these solutions include an emphasis on building practical support systems for the formerly incarcerated, focusing on restorative justice approaches to criminal rehabilitation, and reducing the barriers present during reintegration.
