Freeculture.org is a non-partisan group of students and young people working for the free culture movement. This manifesto calls for the democratization of digital technology and internet, so as to protect the digital commons. Culture should be built and sustained from the bottom-up, not top-down as it exists today. Ownership, propietaryship, and control threaten to compromise the free production of culture. Freeculture fights for the digital commons and fights for a future in which our cultural heritage is open to the public domain.
