A group of women activists convened at Sarah Lawrence College in 2005 to reflect on how the conditions of women worldwide are related to the power struggles of the unjust few over the working class poor. The convening produced a critical analysis of the role of the United States in the world and its implications for women worldwide. The group envisions a society free of poverty, violence, and gender oppression. To build the resistance, the group calls for a transnational and transgenerational dialogue of women on these issues to create long-term change in the United States and abroad.
