In this speech, Grace Lee Boggs speaks on the current system of education and how the top-down, hierarchical model is no longer effective. She advocates for a community-building approach that utilizes the energy and creative spirit of youth to effect change in their communities and become active citizens in a local, regional, and global context. Learning, she argues, must be relevant to students' lives.
