Don't worry, CCC. 40 is the new 30.

Posted by: Theme of the Week , May 11, 2008

Happy 40th birthday CCC! This week, we're looking back on the Center for Community Change's 40 year history and charting a course for the future of the organization.

This week at the Movement Vision Lab, we're wishing a happy 40th birthday to the Center for Community Change!  Throughout its 40 year history, the Center has built a solid foundation on which to build a better future for all of us.  We begin our 40th year with a staff that is younger and more diverse than anytime in its history.  Deepak Bhargava, the executive director of the organization was born in the same year as the organization!

So really, CCC proves that 40 is the new 30.  You heard it here, folks.

In celebration of the Center's birthday, we will feature:

  • Deepak Bhargava's speech on the 40th Anniversary of the Center
  • Photos from the Anniversary Gala event in Washington DC
  • Live interviews from activists and organizers
  • And snippets of CCC history pulled from The Power of Many written by Lynn Kanter

And, more!  So stay tuned this week,

Dennis and the MVL Team
